Tidyback

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-24

In short: your photos never leave your phone. Tidyback has no account, no sign-in and no ads. We receive only anonymous usage stats (you can turn these off), crash reports and, if you buy Lifetime, a purchase receipt.

Who we are

Tidyback is made by Sloth Lab Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Tidyback app for iPhone and Android.

Your photos stay on your device

No account, no sign-in

There is nothing to sign up for. We don't ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we don't run a server that stores your data.

What the app sends

1. Anonymous usage stats — you can turn these off

We use Google Firebase Analytics, and may also use PostHog, to see how the app is used so we can improve it. This includes:

It never includes your photos or videos, file names, image contents or where photos were taken, and it is not tied to your name or email. To turn it off: Tidyback → Settings → Share usage stats.

2. Crash reports

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a technical report: where in the code the problem happened, device model, operating system version, app version and a random install ID. Crash reports contain no photos and no personal content. We use them only to find and fix bugs.

3. Lifetime purchase

Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details, name or email address. To confirm that you own Lifetime and to let you restore it, we use RevenueCat. RevenueCat creates a random, anonymous app user ID and receives the store receipt (product, price, currency, date and transaction ID) when you buy or restore.

How long data is kept

Usage stats are kept according to Google's (and, if used, PostHog's) retention settings. Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as needed to confirm your purchase and as required for tax and accounting.

Your choices and rights

Children

Tidyback is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the app starts collecting something new, we will update this policy before it does.
